Nathan has extensive experience advising clients on matters relating to corporate formation and strategy; public and private capital markets; venture capital and private equity investments; acquisitions and dispositions; commercial loans; joint ventures; and commercial, licensing, and marketing agreements. He acts as outside general counsel for many of his clients, working closely with them at every stage of the corporate life cycle to address legal, strategic, and practical concerns.
Nathan clerked for the Honorable James Lawrence King in United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, following which he practiced law with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP. Thereafter, he served as Deputy General Counsel at Virgin Mobile USA, overseeing the company’s initial public offering and its merger with Sprint Nextel, and as Senior Director, Legal at a New York-based private equity firm with over $8 billion in assets under management, providing counsel to the firm and legal oversight of its portfolio companies.
Nathan holds a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, a B.A. in International Studies from Trinity College and a graduate degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Florida.
