Ellen Santos is a senior associate in the Corporate & Transactional department of OlenderFeldman LLP. She advises clients on a variety of transactional matters, including formation and organizational matters, mergers and acquisitions, refinancing, restructuring, and private investment transactions.
Prior to joining OlenderFeldman, Ellen served as a senior corporate associate at a major corporate transactional law firm in New Jersey. In this role, she assisted clients at varying stages of growth with corporate governance issues, including statutory compliance and the preparation of formation and governing documents. Ellen also represented underwriters and issuers in connection with public offerings and other SEC compliance matters. She co-founded at her prior firm the Diversity Leadership Network, a growing employee resource group focused on recruiting and supporting diverse attorneys. Ellen has also worked for Prudential Financial Inc. as a secondee. At Prudential, she served as a member of the Financial Management Law Group handling a broad range of general corporate matters, including M&A and financing transactions, intercompany financing arrangements, securities registration filings in Korea and Japan and a funding agreement note issuance program.
Ellen earned her Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School, and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a minor in Criminal Justice, from Rutgers University – New Brunswick.
In addition to practicing law, Ellen is passionate about advancing diversity and inclusion initiatives, and participates in several mentorship programs with a variety of bar associations and community-based advocacy groups. Ellen’s family is from Brazil and she is fluent in Portuguese.
