Nicholas R. Hector is an associate in the Corporate department of OlenderFeldman LLP. He routinely counsels our cutting-edge digital media, e-commerce, design and technology-focused clients on a wide range of business and regulatory compliance matters. Nicholas also handles sophisticated intellectual property portfolio management at the Firm, including the enforcement of intellectual property rights, due diligence, end-user terms and conditions, and licensing and services agreements.
Prior to joining the Firm, Nicholas served as an Examining Attorney for the United States Patent and Trademark Office where he prosecuted patent applications comprising control systems subject matter. He has worked for the New York Knicks professional basketball organization, assisting the organization’s digital marketing department in securing technology vendors and fulfilling partnership agreements. Nicholas has also worked at two Manhattan-based law firms, and volunteered with the American Bar Association’s Post-Alice Task Force
Nicholas earned his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School. As a Full Tuition Trustee Scholar, he earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from The Viterbi School of Engineering at The University of Southern California. He has supplemented his education through the Stanford Continuing Studies Program in Computer Science.
Nicholas is licensed to practice in New Jersey, New York, the federal district court for the Southern District of New York, and the federal district court for the Eastern District of New York.
