Sean Rose
LITIGATION
Partner
Sean Rose is a Partner at OlenderFeldman whose practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and business counseling. Sean represents corporations, closely held businesses, entrepreneurs, and other business clients in state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels, as well as in alternative dispute resolution forums across multiple jurisdictions.
Sean’s practice includes shareholder, member, and partnership disputes; contractual disputes (including technology-based agreements, services agreements, leasing agreements, and purchase agreements); intellectual property disputes (trademark and copyright); restrictive covenant disputes (including non-competition, non-solicitation, and confidentiality/trade secret provisions); and construction claims.
Although Sean has a consistent record of obtaining favorable outcomes for his clients, he prides himself on being more than just a “litigator.” When strategizing the approach to any matter, Sean works to dissect both the client’s business and the process to move the dispute (and the business) forward towards achieving positive and practical outcomes.
Sean also counsels clients on broader business matters that arise during the course of his representation, including navigating legal and operational risks, evaluating business decisions, and developing practical strategies to mitigate risk and avoid or resolve disputes. Drawing on his understanding of his clients’ businesses and operations, Sean works closely with clients to identify potential issues before they escalate and to develop solutions that account for both legal considerations and business objectives.
Sean is actively involved in the legal and business communities. He serves on the Litigation Committee of the New York City Bar Association and the Civil Practice Committee of the Hudson County Bar Association. In addition, Sean is active in the Hudson County Chamber of Commerce, where he works to foster relationships within the local business community and stay engaged with issues impacting businesses throughout the region.
Prior to joining the firm, Sean worked at a large law firm representing businesses and insurance companies in a variety of commercial, insurance coverage, and professional liability matters. Sean also completed a judicial clerkship for the Hon. Angela White Dalton, J.S.C., in the Superior Court of New Jersey.
Sean earned his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law. At Rutgers, Sean was a Dean’s Scholar, an Associate Developments Editor for the Rutgers Journal of Law and Religion and earned the Dean’s Publico Award for Exceptional Service at graduation.
